Happy 2021!

So there I was last night, just chilling out under the Christmas tree, waiting for Those Two to get ready for bed. They were staying up much later than usual, watching some lame TV show, but I was determined to be my usual patient self and just wait them out. Then, at the stroke of midnight, they scooped me out from under the tree, hoisted me up and began planting kisses all over me — even on my lips, such as they are. Ha, if only they knew where those lips had been earlier!

I can do without the whole business of waiting for the ball to drop, but I do like the idea of starting off a new year with fresh hopes and goals. I’ve actually made a few resolutions myself. I’m planning to sleep more, eat more and blog more. I’ll probably end up settling for two out of the three.
