A well-named cat

“Once this cone comes off, your house is toast!”

For a change, today’s post will not be all about me. I know, I know … that’s why you’re here. But I’ve decided to occasionally feature other cats because let’s face it, as adorable as I am, I run the risk of becoming stale, if I haven’t already reached that stage.

So today we’re going to talk about Moxie. She was recently adopted by a friend of Mama C, and I can tell by those eyes that she’s going to live up to her name! She is wearing that headgear as a result of surgery to ensure that the feisty Moxie genes are not passed along. I don’t recall ever having to wear one of those, even though I had a similar surgery, and it doesn’t look very comfortable. But it does give Moxie a sort of cool astronaut vibe, and indeed she looks like she just fell down to earth! She’s apparently too young to know that she was supposed to land on her feet.

Here’s wishing Moxie and her Mama P many years of happiness together.

  1. She is so cute!! Her headgear reminds me of Little House on the Prairie!! Here’s to a happy, contented life which all animals deserve.

  2. Dear Mr. Oxbow,
It is a great idea to bring us an occasional story of your feline friends. Your title is so very apropos. Moxie is adorable even with the protective gear. It is so important that we extend compassion to all our family, friends and strangers, especially right now with all the uncertainty with Covid 19. We all need kindness and comfort. Enjoy the xmas decorations and the tree…(I hope you have a real tree in your home…You know kind you can smell the pine-y fragrance and bat a few ornaments around). Tis the season to extend our hearts and paws to those who are being challenged right now. Best wishes to Moxie for a quick recovery!!!
