The mouth that roared

Well I’m still waiting for a company that makes cat food, or litter, or any other feline product to call and sign me up as their new spokescat. But after more than two years of waiting, I’m starting to think it’s unlikely to happen.

So I decided to think outside the box, even though I do some of my best thinking while in the box, and am now setting my sights on Hollywood in my quest for fame and fortune. Maybe I have a future as the next MGM logo!

Mama G looked into the matter and read that there have been seven different lions used since 1916. Some of them look pretty ferocious and intimidating. I think MGM could stand to soften its image a bit, and I bet that last fella is nearing retirement age.

So MGM execs, give it some thought. I think it’s a role I could really sink my teeth into, even though I have only two left.

  1. Dear Mr. Oxbow, I agree…the MGM Lions are indeed a little long in the tooth. Is there a studio called MGM still functioning to produce and distribute movies? Wouldn’t it be great if they did refresh their logo with a smaller feline such as you…you are the right color n’cest pas? We all need to take a less ferocious approach to life. You would be such an erudite symbol for the company. You are urbane, witty and thought-provokingly interesting. If you would like a testimonial from me, please send a meow my way.
