One step at a time

20180717_115631

Well I finally emerged from the basement ceiling today, even though the sound of chain saws, falling trees and wood chippers next door is still going strong. Say, weren’t those supposed to be protected wetlands where tree cutting is illegal?

Anyway, I’m still afraid, so I’m staying close by Mama G, although she’s even crankier today after only four hours of sleep. I feel safe with her, and that’s one of the great things about being loved: no matter what the challenge, love provides a shelter in the storm.

Speaking of storms, I heard there could be a bad one on the way tonight. If so, all bets on my progress against fear are off!

  1. Dear Mr. Oxbow,
I truly sympathize with you about the horrid noise And destruction that is stealing your peace and tranquility.
We human forget that our furry friends have extremely delicate operating systems; particularly sound and smell that are many times more sensitive than us humans. I myself have had to cope with hearing loss. I hope the destruction of our precious trees stops soon for your health and well being…and so Mama G can get some restful sleep!
