Into the void

depressed

I was not myself yesterday. I felt very sad and out of sorts, and spent most of the day atop the comforter on the spare bed, which is not my usual resting spot. Yesterday Mama C went back to work after having been home for nearly three months following surgery. During that time, I grew even more attached to her than I already was. She was always by my side, 24/7, and I liked that. Her absence yesterday hurt.

I can’t believe I’ve grown so fond of humans. They’re a curious breed, but I’m glad they’ve been domesticated.

  1. Dear Mr. Oxbow,
It is really tough when you have a companion 24/7 and they have to either get back to work or on to a new life. I bet you are missing your Mama C a great deal. My companion and I have recently left our beloved home and moved to separate residences. She to an assisted living facility and I to an apartment. Right now I am so busy unboxing my life that was squeezed into a mountain of boxes; I have only visited her a couple of times between these 3 noreaster’s in 2 weeks!

They say spring will arrive soon…let’s hope the noreaster’s depart just as quickly. Dear Mother Earth, please deliver a lovely “spring in our step” with warmer weather and NO SNOW OR EXTREME RAINSTORMS.

  3. Thanks for checking out my blog, Carol and Dave! I think I write pretty well for a cat, if I may say so myself. 🙂 Mama C says you’re a real sweetie, Carol. Hope to meet you someday!
