I learned a new game over the weekend, and no, it didn’t involve kissing, though I hear it can be played that way, too.
Those Two have started a curious routine of late: after a tough day at work, they like to sit at the kitchen island and drink from two tiny bottles of potent-smelling liquid, which they pour into two tiny little glasses.
The other night they showed me the bottle, and I can’t say I cared for the smell, which probably means I wouldn’t care for the taste either. But I sure did enjoy that bottle once it was empty. I pawed at it and it tipped over and started spinning! Then I batted it onto the floor and it took on a life of its own, the sign of a truly fine cat toy! It dipped, it rolled, it spun some more. I must have chased that thing around for an hour.
I could get used to joining this routine, although something tells me Those Two might “nip” my part of it in the bud.

Dear Mr. Oxbow,
It always amazes me when I see a furry feline using their paws so dexterously. I really admire that. I also love your playful sense of adventure. The simplest of things become objects of joy. We humans can learn a thing or two about improving our sense of playfulness and simplicity.
Thank you for your reminder of finding joy in the simple things of life.

Mr Oxbow,
You and I have a similar sense of adventure! Have you found the wonderful dangly things that our humans hang from the tree they bring inside for you each December? I am especially fond of removing the black dog shaped ones!
Cheers!

Thanks for visiting, Miss Minky! I’d love to meet you someday, but I don’t get out much. Actually, I don’t get out at all, but that’s a good thing. I’m looking forward to the arrival of the Christmas tree next weekend. I don’t bother with the dangly things much, but I sure do like to sleep underneath the tree. It smells so good!
