Since we moved to Connecticut last fall, my mamas have been nothing short of thrilled by the experience. They love the beauty and convenience of the new area. I’ll have to take their word on that, because I’m strictly an indoor cat, and the only time I go on road trips is my annual visit to the veterinarian.
They also have been amazed at how friendly people are here, particularly our new neighbors. Now this is something that I can attest to as well, because I’ve had frequent kitty visitors since we moved in.
Just the other day, the little orange tabby from across the street came calling.

Although I wasn’t allowed to go out and play with him, I sat in the window and the two of us communicated silently as only we cats know how to do. I learned that his name is Buddy.
I think I’ve met my doppelganger.

Dear Mr. Oxbow,
I am so happy to see that you have a new friend! Wow…especially a friend who has very similar coloring as you. You both must be thrilled that you found each other at long last. Felines are amazing communicators with humans. I can only imagine how it must feel to be able to communicate with another feline. Hopefully, this gorgeous being will be able to learn from you as a wise and learned mentor.
